Making Great Dental Care Accessible
Great dentistry shouldn’t be a mystery — financially or clinically. At My Smile Care in Westford, MA, we believe in transparent pricing, honest insurance guidance, and flexible payment options that let you plan care on your terms.
This page explains how payment works at our office, what insurance we accept, and the financing options available to you.
Insurance — What We Accept
We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans and will file claims on your behalf as a courtesy. Common plans include (but are not limited to):
- Delta Dental PPO
- Cigna
- Aetna
- Guardian
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- MetLife
- United Healthcare
- United Concordia
- Principal
- Humana
- Most other major PPO plans
Not sure if we accept your plan? Call us at (978) 692-6326 with your insurance details and we’ll verify your benefits before your first appointment.
What PPO Means for You
As a PPO provider, we accept your insurance’s fee schedule for covered services. Your insurance typically covers:
- Preventive care (cleanings, exams, x-rays) — often 100%
- Basic restorative (fillings, simple extractions) — often 70–80%
- Major restorative (crowns, bridges, root canals) — often 50%
- Orthodontics — varies widely, with lifetime maximums
- Cosmetic procedures — typically not covered
Annual maximums, deductibles, and waiting periods vary by plan. We will review your specific benefits with you and estimate your out-of-pocket costs before you start any treatment.
If You Don’t Have Insurance
No problem. We offer several options that make high-quality dental care accessible without a traditional insurance plan.
In-Office Dental Membership Plan
Our in-office membership plan provides transparent, flat-rate pricing and built-in discounts on treatment — often at a lower total cost than traditional insurance for healthy patients. The plan typically includes:
- Two comprehensive exams per year
- Two professional cleanings per year (our GBT Airflow hygiene)
- Annual x-rays
- Discount on all additional treatment
- No deductibles, no annual maximums, no waiting periods
Ask our front desk team for current membership pricing and details.
CareCredit Financing
CareCredit is a healthcare-specific financing option that lets you spread dental costs over time with flexible terms. Many patients qualify for:
- Short-term 0% interest promotional plans
- Longer-term extended payment options with fixed monthly payments
We can help you apply right in our office. Visit carecredit.com to pre-qualify before your visit.
Other Payment Methods
We accept:
– Cash
– Personal and cashier’s checks
– All major credit cards
– HSA/FSA cards
Our Transparent Pricing Promise
Before you consent to any treatment, we will:
- Explain exactly what is recommended and why
- Present alternatives where they exist, with honest tradeoffs
- Provide a written estimate of your out-of-pocket cost
- Verify insurance benefits when applicable
- Never pressure you into same-day decisions for non-emergency care
Elective, comprehensive, and cosmetic cases are always planned and quoted in writing before treatment begins. You will never be surprised by a bill.

Our Financial Philosophy
We believe the right dental treatment is the right one for you — not the most expensive, not the cheapest, but the one that solves your actual problem with the best long-term outcome. We will always present options honestly, including conservative alternatives to more comprehensive plans. Our goal is a long, healthy relationship — not a single big case.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a cost estimate before I come in?
General estimates, yes. Precise quotes require an exam — because the exact treatment depends on your specific teeth, bone, and goals. We’ll give you firm numbers quickly at your first visit.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — through CareCredit and, in select cases, in-office arrangements. We’ll discuss what works for you.
What if my insurance says something isn’t covered?
We’ll explain why the treatment is recommended and what your options are. Sometimes an alternative covered treatment is appropriate; sometimes the right answer is out of pocket. The decision is always yours.
Do you offer discounts for seniors, veterans, or teachers?
Please ask — we try to support our community.
Can I get a second opinion before committing to treatment?
Absolutely. Second opinions are welcome and we support them. If another office has quoted you significant treatment, come in for an independent assessment.
